Time in MI comes to an end. Blog stays on hold, tho - another couple weeks - as we motor here and there.
Kind of a scare yesterday when Dad had to be rushed to the hospital with chest pains. Too much fun and excitement, seems to be the diagnoses. He's home this evening and much better.

It's the birthday party for Laura! (never talk while the picture is taken, even if you're telling a funny story)
Linda lets loose of a 'bear' picture, from their recent travels. More to come, hopefully.

Happy Birthday to Laura!
Our friend Dave had a 'BEE' problem! Now solved, thank goodness.
What is this man doing?
Well, dismantling the roof soffit and removing the bee's combs.
Of all the many cool art exhibits on display this weekend, one in particular caught our eye. Thanks to Barb for bringing this
very well thought out and cleverly assembled piece of work to our attention. Or, was it Laura?
This is an 'instrument' played by the tides. Strings, going through the floor and attached to floats, rise and fall with the
surf and tides under the building. This movement is translated into the 'gonging' of various weights and chimes. The overall
affect, besides being very pleasing to the ear - is amazing to observe as played out in front of the musical staffs seen here.
As we may have mentioned, it's been the Art Fair all weekend. Three days of fun and food. With one major exception - no cheap
cheeseburgers!
Boy, those guys missed a bet, here.
My favorite 'ACT' out of several - is Hillbilly Willie. We've seen this guy several times over the last few years, and his act
doesn't change much. It doesn't need to.
He is primarily a juggler, and unicycle rider, and musician. Boy, that's quite a bit of talent! And, mostly he draws the
audience with his 'patter'. He added a giant wrench to his act
this year.
He is seen here juggling machete's while drawing in the crowd. He talks all the time he's working, and boy, does he have the
gift of GAB!
Willie's finale is to ride the unicycle while playing the violin. He does both with aplomb.
Here is a sad thing - I bought my darling wife (whom I am missing terribly) a 'Fair Souvenir'. The dang wings fell off before I
got it out of the package! Boy, THAT never happened when I bought a cheeseburger!

Drove Ann to the airport this AM. Reunion in IL.
Fortunately, I am not without instructions. . .
Here is one of the items taking place - the scooter is for sale. It's agreed that we're due for a less heavy, somewhat newer one!
Of course, this one must sell, first. Hopefully it will go as fast as the outboard motor did! It's sure running great!
Boy, that's a good looking machine - maybe just one more ride. . .
They're talking record heat today! Maybe up to 90. We'll see. The top is down, already. . .
BTW - We've been bugging Rich for another picture (besides his very near hole in one) and this came along - thanks!
Rich B - golfer extraudinaire!

Ann's birthday a big success. John and Linda are in town, Heidi and Shanna (a friend from New York) showed up, Anna and
Cassady too! We celebrated at Dick and Laura's - this being also a party for Laura, whose Happy Day is the seventh. And let's
not forget that Barbara's is the twenty seventh! Many happy birthdays.

This is -
My darling wife's HAPPY DAY!
Happy Birthday, Ann!
She just gets better and better!
Here's Ann helping me letter a 'for sale' sign, to try and move the old outboard motor. Late note on the evening of the first -
the motor sold already!
This seemed appropriate, since we no longer have a boat. The rubber boat developed internal leaks that couldn't be fixed. It
went. In other words - it used to have three internal compartments, so that if a leak developed only one compartment would
deflate. Without that safety feature, I couldn't get anyone interested in going boating. It took more time to make the for sale
sign than it did to sell the outboard.
Evie shopping for her Mom's birthday, at the 'former' Bon. That is/was, Bon Marche. Now, Macy's. Times change. Whatever became
of the J. L. Hudson Co? (Now a Marshall Fields).

Here we Go!
Leaving the July BLOG up for a day or two. It's such a huge file by the end of the month. Maybe there's some way to split it in half after 15 days? Of course, if one has broadband, it doesn't matter one iota.
