Monthly Stuff for May, of the photo variety.
So.
Send some pictures!
Girls with long hair.
Lighting my candles!
Happy Birthday!
Attempting to blow out the candles, with no wind!
Fae was 'doing' hair last evening. Everyone looks better when Fae is finished with them!
Here is an 'after' of Niomi and Ivey.
The girls are off to have their ballet pictures taken this afternoon.

Happy Memorial weekend! TEN HUT!~ At EASE!
Gathered at Dick and Laura's last evening. John and Linda not quite yet on the boat. LOBSTERS! Eat 'EM! Barbara, Paul, and Anna (who
was taller than all the other women in her 'spike' heels) rounded out our group.
Anna (very TALL!)
Himself, after dinner
John and Paul, before dinner
Laura, finally relaxing after doing all the work!
Three sisters.
John and Linda
Boy, were these yummy!
This was taken at home, later, after discovering that John's advice paid off. I had dropped my camera remote into a cup of
coffee. Yes. He suggested rinsing it with fresh water (after removing the battery) and then drying it. This we did, and then
used it to take this happy end of the day picture.

Linda and John are in town!

The Parrot Pirate let Ann hold two of his Macaws.
Evelyn and Samantha by Sam's Corvette! Her dad and Granddad also have Corvettes in the show, of the larger variety.
Ann with David.
It was first necessary to keep 'Jack' the red Macaw from stealing Ann's pin from the front of her jacket.
Which is hard to do, with a parrot on each arm!
An understanding is reached between Ann and Jack.
These were taken Sunday, a much sunnier day. The Fest was accordingly more crowded, too! That's the Pirate
Parrot guy's boat, in the background.
In line to get Festival Food! My personal favorite Fest activity.
Today Evelyn did climb the rock wall, making it to the top for the second year in a row!

Evelyn and Ann by one of the newer old time autos.
Ann and friend by a '32 Ford at the drive inn.

One of the many, many bands that have played both days, rain or shine. These guys played ragtime.

The dreaded flat tire - right when it's time to GO and we're running late.
Any idea who this might be? (phone pic)
Ann took some
Grand Canyon PIX while in AZ.
They have their own page - click the pic above to see them!

The poor cats are baffled at the loss of their warm resting place atop the old monitor. This one does put out a small
amount of heat, but nothing like the old one, and of course, no place to plop down.
Still trying to catch a good sunset.

Mother's Day pictures. . .
John and Linda are (were) in town. Those two are busier than a cat covering poop.
Also in attendance, Barb and Paul and Heidi and Anna (with her friend). Eric and Debra had been over the night before.
Also Dick and Laura, Niomi and Ivey, and Cass. Fae had also been in town the night before. Ann, Evie and I.

Like Dick, Barb is looking at something. . .
And so is Heidi
Dick has become less sure. . .

Ann tries for a picture. . . of WHAT?
Anna's puppy, of course!

Happy Mother's Day
The kitchen in full service, at last.
Here are two 'stitched' shots, upper and lower.
Since Ann's been working out, she's just a ghost of her former self. . .

What remains, is the ceiling fan/light affair. We hope it will hang from this hole, after tomorrow.
For now, it's sitting in this box.
This is how the under sink shelf finished up. This is actually a promised second look photo, if you read down a bit.
Well, it would seem that I posted the first photo on the BLOG page, so here they both are:
The under sink area is done. Sink clips installed - want a picture of them? And the sink hooked back up. Those curvy
plastic drain pipes came out that way, and that's how I put them back in. No leaks, no problem.
The stove lights were balanced on this two by four to install the wiring.
Here is a finshed look:
Here is Evelyn, with the finished rocket, BEFORE firing. Hoping to get a 'launch' picture. Late news:
Her launch was successful, parachute deployed, but wind carried descending rocket onto school roof. To be
retrieved later.

This is a swell ROCKET that Evelyn built AND painted. Evelyn declined to be photographed with her rocket,
being too busy online.
A later shot of Evie and her rocket.

Ann is using the leftover tiles to make a shelf. We were able to also tile under the kitchen sink, with left over tiles.
Judicious use of the tile saw, saved us several square feet of tile.
The summer like temperatures (near 80) allowed us to ride the scooter to, and after dinner. Yes, sunburn.
We rode up to Cap Sante, which overlooks Fidalgo Bay and the City of Anacortes.
This was AFTER re installing the cast iron kitchen sink. Our neighbors, Tim and Shilo, were kind enough to give a hand.
Along with Cassady and Niomi's cousin, T.J. They hefted the sink right onto a jack setup under the counter, and we
gradually lowered it to the proper height. Fastened the sink clips, and - voila!
Many hands make light work!
May the tooth.
Ann has tiled under the sink.
And added her shelf above the stove. . .
Can you say, 'Beanie Baby'?
